Just an Update

To everybody reading this, which, given the high readership of the last post, I worry includes quite a number of people from every walk of my father's life:  

Don't worry! 

He was far more complicated than the domestic Joker-from-Batman I painted in the first part of these memories. This is just part 1 of a much longer eulogy/exorcism/summation/psychobiography I will try to write of a man who resisted every attempt of anybody trying to understand him by pretending that he wanted everybody to understand him. Certainly not all of it will be flattering, but most will be much more flattering than part 1. Yes, some will be uncharitable, but my revenge for his lack of approval of me is an affirmation of the great love he always suspected was lacking from me, and I'm doing it by painting him in full. 

He'd love the spotlight.
