Mir Ist So Wunderbar

Posts have been getting pretty silly lately. So here's one of the all-time great opera moments: Mir Ist So Wunderbar from Beethoven's Fidelio. Features one of the great sopranos of the 20th century - Elisabeth Soderstrom - as Leonore, disguised as a man named Fidelio who is hiding as an assistant jailkeeper in a Spanish prison to find out what happened to her husband, Florestan, who is being kept in the darkest dingiest cell in the jail for political reasons. Soderstrom died about a month ago, and I still want to do a post about her at some point.

...And yes, once I feel like I have the technique for it, the Collegium will have an arrangement of it.
