I have not followed the infrastructure debacle. My health and stress is bad enough. But I know dysfunctionality when I see it.
The one thing that tells you exactly how bad shape a country is in: fanaticism, the inability to compromise because some principles are just so important that they're worth killing any future for. The more ideological wings are certainly more disposed to it, but it can certainly come from the center too.
History has played this movie so many thousands of times, and Americans are so ignorant of it that they think it doesn't apply to them. Get your house in order, figure out how to compromise on a bill as soon as possible, or Trump is coming back, or someone worse, and we're all gonna die.
