Tales of Disrupted Creation: Traffick - Very Rough Draft

(to be placed after Dearest Lavan)

And Esau's rage was strangely muted, and he said: Behold, I am great with remuneration and my abundance is greater than I can bear. I cannot expect to hold all while Jacob holds naught. Allow him the birthright and the blessing for my blessings are already to great to carry.

And Esau's eldest, Eliphaz, was wroth with his father, and said to his father: Lo, I am great with rage, for the blessing you may abjure is a blessing you can withhold from me. For Eliphaz was as paltry with abundance as Jacob.

And Esau said unto him: Behold, thou standeth to inherit one sixth of my cattle, my raiment, my finery, and my land. Thou art blessed beyond all but the greatest men of Caanan.

And Eliphaz did reply: And until thou passeth, though may the Lord keep ye until age bounteous, shall I be but an weak and paltry shepherd for a father great in strength?

And Esau did say unto his son: Lo, thou shalt be great in the fulness of thy time, and men of many gods must abjure great abundance until a god bequeath them with favor.

And Eliphaz did cry out: Lo, thou art still favored above Jacob, and I am disfavored among my brothers.

And Eliphaz did leave Esau's tent and did conceive that he might murder Jacob upon the desert crossing and steal his uncle's birthright and blessing.

And he did ride upon camel to Jacob, who did journey to Haran by foot. And lo he said unto Jacob: behold, I am come to murder thee.

And Jacob did weep and did say: my burdens are great, my blessings are naught, my birthright is dust, I do entreat you to slay me. And Jacob did fall on his knees with implorement.

And Eliphaz was sore with vexation and did say to his uncle: thou art lower than dust, thou art a thief,  and thou art profligate and beggar.

And Jacob did reply: Take all I possess. I do bequeathe it freely. Food, water, raiment and finery.

And Eliphaz did say: I wish for thy birthright and my grandfather's blessing.

And Jacob did reply: I do abjure to thee all claiment and deed, the heir of Isaac thou art, and I am again a profligate.

And Eliphaz did return to Esau with slight finery, and behold he told his father naught but that he did purchase said finery. And Esau did reply: beware thy profligacy, thou hast not the quality of thrift that becometh merchandise and traffick. And Eliphaz was sore vexed.
